Working closely with a news anchor from RTL Germany, I covered the 2023 war in Gaza from Cairo, Egypt. I documented popular protests and demonstrations for Palestine, capturing the perspectives of ordinary citizens on the streets. My responsibilities extended to filming comprehensive video reports featuring insights from academics, experts, and entire families, providing a nuanced portrayal of the Egyptian perspective on the war for the German audience.

During this intense period, we conducted numerous live broadcasts for German television, delivering regular updates on the ongoing war and reflecting the prevailing mood in Cairo. A highlight of our coverage was our attendance at the Cairo Summit for Peace, where world leaders convened to seek resolutions to the broader conflict between Palestine and Israel. I took charge of the live broadcast for the press release by Annalena Baerbock, the German Minister of Foreign Affairs.

The impact of our work was substantial, with the pre-recorded videos and live broadcasts reaching approximately 7 million viewers in Germany. This experience not only honed my skills in on-the-ground reporting and live broadcasting but also underscored the importance of delivering accurate and comprehensive news coverage in the midst of a global crisis.
