Rotary International is a renowned global service organisation dedicated to making a positive impact in communities around the world. Rotary District 2451, the Egyptian branch of Rotary International, hosted its 10th District conference in May 2023. The annual conference serves as a platform for influential speakers to share their insights while reflecting on the accomplishments and milestones of the past year.

The conference took place in El Gouna, located by the Red Sea, and was distinguished by its special focus on sustainability and environmental consciousness. El Gouna itself, known as one of Egypt’s premier resort towns, serves as a model of sustainable living with its emphasis on renewable energy sources, efficient water management, and eco-friendly transportation options.

Throughout the conference, I had the opportunity to interview several keynote speakers, including Samih Sawiris, the founder of El Gouna, and highlight the collective efforts of Rotary International and El Gouna in driving positive change for our planet.
