Drawing on the perspectives of environmentalists in Egypt, this documentary offers valuable insights into the diverse benefits of permaculture and showcases local efforts to address the ecological crisis facing the country and the world.

Accompanied by a permaculture practitioner, I travel to various regions in Egypt, including inner-city areas, suburban neighbourhoods, and desert regions, to explore local projects that are adopting permaculture principles in an effort to build sustainable options for future generations. Together, we visit four distinct initiatives, examining the sustainable principles and perspectives that guide their responses to the growing pressures on food and ecosystems.
