HI, MY NAME IS Ahmed
I am a filmmaker and video journalist, passionate about storytelling through film.
Over the years, I have had the privilege of making short documentaries for Egypt’s leading English media outlet, Egyptian Streets, where I focused on the country’s largely forgotten heritage, art, culture, and history.
One of my greatest missions is to bring attention to social and environmental issues that are underreported and often overlooked in society. As a student in London, I worked with a non-profit charity to create a short campaign documentary that aimed to raise awareness about entrenched social issues affecting children across the UK.
In 2022, I had the incredible opportunity to make an award-winning documentary that highlighted the efforts of local environmentalists in Egypt to create a sustainable future. The film focused on their efforts to grow their own food and urged people to do the same in the face of a global food crisis. This documentary was publicly released in the run-up to COP27, which I attended and reported on for KPMG Deutschland.
I covered the 2023 Gaza war from Cairo with RTL Germany, documenting protests, the Cairo Summit for Peace, and delivering broadcasts that reached 7 million viewers in Germany.
Driven by insatiable curiosity, I am always eager to take on projects anywhere in the world.
“To be an artist means never to avert one’s eyes.”
